“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” (Colossians 1:15-20)

The Body of Christ, the Church, is the only body given authority to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Lord Jesus commanded. And it has been uniquely endowed with the Holy Spirit to enable it in this Great Commission.
